The unfortunate COVID-19 situation means that face-to-face consultations and all elective operations have been suspended in NHS and private hospitals.

Many patients have been contacting us concerned about their deteriorating eyesight and are anxious that it may be many months before they are able to get a consultation or date for their surgery.

If you would like to secure your place on the list after the lockdown, you can arrange a video consultation with Dan, just complete the form below or call and we will arrange a mutually convenient time.

During the 30-minute consultation Dan will:

​

• Ask detailed questions about your current eyesight and any problems you are experiencing

• Assess your current glasses prescription and needs. Please have any glasses prescriptions or opticians reports to hand.

• Take a full medical history including any medical conditions or prescription medicines that may affect your eyesight our any proposed treatment.

• Make a recommendation with regards to treatment/surgery.

• Counsel you about what the treatment involves, including before, during and after care.

• Explain the benefits, including the expected outcome of treatment, and the risks of treatment.​

Following the video consultation, you will receive a written report and then a follow up clinic consultation will be arranged after the lockdown to examine your eyes and make any further arrangements.

The cost of the video consultation is £150, payable beforehand, and then the follow up in clinic will be £100. In other words, the total cost of the initial video consultation and the clinic follow up appointment will be the same as a normal first consultation (£250).
